In good condition, an early 20C British Raj Mounted Indian Trooper's
A rare item; we are unable to identify the crest / badge but it
includes Bharata Lipi Indian script, a typical British Lion, a short
eared (Asian) elephant and a pair of crossed katars (Indian hand
punch armour piercing daggers).
The 33 1/2 inch faintly etched blade (serial number "T. K.
No. 8" to spine) is in very good condition (it was covered
in very, very old and difficult to clean off grease) and firm in
the hilt. The hilt with some bending but is good. The leather or
faux leather grip has some holes, the grip wire is good and firm.
The steel scabbard in very good shape. The sword sheathes and draws
This sword was clearly greased and bought back from India a long
time ago, but thanks to the grease is in very good order. A real
bargain (just try and find another), just £300. Please quote
