Sales enquiries

"Picquet / levee" means a light weight dress sword. This one has a brass scabbard, so it was once carried by an adjutant or other senior officer. Etched to quality society retailer Morgan & Co.

The 32 1/4 inch blade is in good condition and firm in the hilt. The brass hilt is a little deformed (normal) but in good order. The fishskin grip is a little worn but in overall very good condition for its age, as are the twisted grip wire bindings. The folding guard section works well. The brass scabbard has some bending and dings but is overall very good. The sword sheathes and draws well.

Very nice example at a very nice price, just £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference R76 (0551). Further / full sized images available upon request.
