Sales enquiries

Clearly an authentic period RN Midshipman's Dirk but possibly if not probably made by someone other than Wilkinson Sword as there is no serial number. Quite a common practice during WW1 but less so WW2 was for a tailor who got an order from an RN officer specifically for a Wilkinson to ask the maker they used to etch it to Wilkinson Sword. In any event, this is a very well made period dirk.

The 17 7/8 inch blade is well / quality etched, in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The hilt and grip all very good, as are the twisted grip wire bindings. Knot good. The scabbard has some age lines but is very sound. The locking mechanism works well. The dirk sheathes and draws well.

A very nice dirk and in above average condition; yours for £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference R12 (0476). Further / full sized images upon request.
