A good sword! OK, it is not Gendaito, but it is still a scarce sword as most WW2 Japanese naval swords ended up at the bottom of the sea. The 25 3/4 inch (nagasa / point to habaki) blade with straight hamon is very good overall condition; unsigned tang but with anchor Imperial acceptance stamp. No rayskin (hence we know it is late war), but everything in pretty good shape. Sword sheathes and draws well.

Come on, a WW2 Imperial Japanese naval officer's kai gunto in good condition and with sword not / tassel for only £? We must be mad! Please quote item reference number K24. Further / full sized images available upon request.
