In overall sound condition, a George V British Coldstream Guards
Officer's Wilkinson Sword, Captain Nigel Graham.
Serial number 58214 for 1919, this sword was bought and owned by
Captain Nigel Graham, Coldstream Guards, wounded in WW1. Full details
The 32 1/2 inch levee (dress weight) blade is in generally good
condition save for the tip area which has plenty of patina. Blade
firm in the hilt. The hilt / guard with some rust patches but overall
good. The grip is generally good but a lot of the twisted grip wire
has gone. The leather field service scabbard is sound except for
damage half way down (covered with tape). The sword sheathes and

GRAHAM, Nigel; 3rd Bn; 2/Lt. 30-9-11; Lt. 7-3-13; To 1st Bn 10-14;
wounded 5-11-14 at Veldhoek. He gained the rank of Captain at the
end of WW1.
Captain Nigel Graham was born on 8th July 1893. He was the son
of Donald Graham and Gertrude Lawrence Clara Dunsterville. He married
Lilian Mary Croft, daughter of Francis Edgar Croft and Zoë
Bromley, on 28 January 1915. He and Lilian Mary Croft were divorced
in 1939. He died on 25 November 1976 at age 83 at Nairobi, Kenya.
