The 31 1/8 inch blade is in very good condition, the grey etch still clear (some marks / tiny patina patches) and firm in the hilt. The white fishskin grip a little grubby, a small crack, but overall very good, as are the twisted grip wire bindings (some minor strands a little astray but really not much). The folding guard section works well and locates on the retaining pin of the scabbard. The leather and gilt metal fittings scabbard overall good. The sword knot good. The sword sheathes and draws well.

A very nice WW2 example (shame we do not know the officer's name that once owned it); if only swords could talk. Yours for £? (too late, now sold, though we will divulge the original sales price for a small fee). Please quote item reference AB11 (0105). Further / full sized images available upon request.
