The blade has the pre-1801 British Royal Coat of Arms with the three fleur de lis and etched "For My Country & King" etched to the centre of each side of the blade. It is a 1786 pattern due to the fact is has a solid (non-folding) guard.

The 32 1/4 inch blade is in good condition (a little wiggle near the point), some rust / patina patches towards the point, the blue and gilt still good and clear. The blade with some movement in the hilt (normal). The hilt overall good but the small langet has come off. The silver metal wire grip is complete and mostly good.
