18th / 19th Century Prussian bladed Polish Hussar Sabre, sold

In good condition, a late 18th Century Polish Partitioned Hussar's sabre, the blade likely either Solingen (Prussian) or possibly Potsdam (Brandenburg) made.

No markings make this difficult to identify but the fat grip is typical of a hussars sword carried by Prussian controlled Polish Hussars in the late 18th Century. The Montmenrcy type blade is typically Germanic.

The 33 5/8 inch blade is in good condition but with no visible markings, and firm in the hilt. The hilt in good shape, as is the somewhat crude looking Polish / Hungarian style grip, which is actually in good order.
