M1860 US Civil War Union Cavalry Troopers Sabre / Sword, Sold

In good condition, a US Civil War M1860 Union cavalry troopers sabre, Roby, 1864.

Guarantee authentic, marked at the forte / ricasso marked "C Roby, W Chelmsford, Mass." one side, "US 1864 AGM" (inspection mark) the obverse.

The 35 inch blade has wear and patina but is in very good shape and firm in the hilt / guard. The leather grip is original but has lost its grip wire (a replacement is quite easily made with brass wire and a drill at slow speed) and is scuffed / compressed in places.
