Twin Guard 1800's Trafalgar Era British Naval Cutlass (sold)

In very good order considering, an exceptional and rare twin guard British 1800's naval cutlass.

Although aged enough to authenticate this as an original British 1800's naval cutlass, this one is in very good order in comparison to other authentic cutlasses of the Trafalgar era, plus it comes in the form of the rarer twin guard variant; it has a side guard as well as the figure of 8 front guard section. This makes it a very rare item and an incredible investment.

The single back fullered 28 3/4 inch blade is well patinated and has suffered rust pitting / general wear to the tip area, as you would / should expect, but it is firm in the hilt. The hilt and grip likewise are slightly pitted commensurate with the authenticity and age of such a naval cutlass.
