British 1827 Pattern Victorian Rifle Volunteer
Officer's Sword (SOLD) |
A well above average 1827 pattern British volunteer rifle officer's
sword and scabbard.
In very good order, the blade especially. A very good 1827P rifle
regiment officer's sword marked for the volunteer rifles. The impressive
32 1/2 inch blade is well etched and firm in the hilt. There are
a few light rust spots (now stabilized by me) sure, but not much.
The hilt also in very good order and the fishskin grip plus distinctive
twisted copper wire ring bindings are in very good order. The scabbard
is OK, a little loose on the blade and with a kink both sides.
Further / full sized pictures available upon request. My item
reference number 555 (206).
